Adobe Illustrator CS5 Basic Tutorial - Part 1

Creating a New Document

On this occasion Losari Design wants to give a tutorial Adobe Illustrator CS5 specific fundamental for beginners. I am not an instructor of design or design teacher, but I know about Adobe Illustrator through my experience in working for 5 years in this field so I wanted to share some of my experience to friends who want to learn more about Illustrator because this is a good place to learn together, This article will continue starting from the Create a New Document to print the design. This time I will explain in more detail how to create a new document in Adobe Illustrator CS5 and explain the function of each part

MAKE A NEW DOCUMENT

Then choose the File ⊲ New New Document window will appear

Name: In this section you can give a name to the document you want to create
Open: Used to open a document that has your previous save
Number of Artboart: Serves to determine how the number of pages contained in the document that you created.

Size : Serves to determine the size of the document you want to create.

Width and Height : To set the width and height of the document that you want to make, if you choose a size that is contained on the tab size in the Width Height will be filled automatically.

Orientation : Serves to determine the orientation of the layout of the document are Horizontal and Vertical on this tab.

Bleed : Serves to set the margins on the document, and activate the button lock to balance any margin values ​​that you enter.

Advance : Display options on the new document tab.

Color Mode : In this tab is used to determine the color mode that you want to apply to the document. There are CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black) and RGB (Red-Green-Blue)

Raster Effect : Serves to adjust the resolution of the document you want to create, if you want to print images with high resolution I suggest to select High (300 dpi)

Preview Mode : Serves to define the document display in the worksheet Illustrator

Prior to working at Adobe Illustrator rate should you get to know more about:

Line Mode : This is the part that consists of a row of menu commands

Panel Tools : That place that contains the command buttons contained in Adobe Illustrator as a tool to move an object, painting, cutting etc.

Worksheet : As discussed above concerning the new document, the worksheet is where we do most first design activity.
